Suede: Our suede leather begins with an intricate process: the hide is split to separate the soft underside from the top layer. This top layer is then tanned, buffed, sanded, and dyed to create the signature velvety texture that defines high-quality suede. I love my cowboy blue Sierra backpack! I’m obsessed with the satchel design! The cowboy blue is amazing quality leather. I have not stopped carrying it since it arrived. Plenty of room for necessities. Comfortable to carry and gets compliments wherever I go!

I love the color timber! I like the size of the bag and the flap. I'm not keeping it because there's no grab handle. A back slip pocket for a phone would be nice also. And why not attach the straps where the end piece doesn't hang? I like the bag but I know i won't use it so I'm getting the tote backpack instead.
Better than Expected

I have to say I was really concerned that Cowboy Blue was going to be waxy and scratch easily. It is a beautiful, structured bag with soft leather that is not too stiff. Thus far, it's not getting scratched up. I'm loving it. It holds my essentials: bilfold, keys, Fog Gordita, Medium Hot Pot Snap Journal, Hava Squeeze Glasses Case, Quartz Ballpark. It would benefit from a key loop. The straps are different in that they start as nylon-backed leather and are nylon midway to the ends. I like them as they are smooth when putting the backpack on and taking it off. A way to secure the loose ends would be helpful.
